Alan started KALM in 1995 alone. Music was slower than in later period and drums were done with computer. At this time some lyrics were in English, later was used only Estonian language.
In 1997 Eku from D.N.R. (drums) joins KALM.
In 1998 self-financed MCD "...lõputu" was released.
For first gig (Põrguwärk 2 in Pärnu) were recruited additional members: Winter (bass), Kristjan (keyboards).
Some time later Winter was replaced with Veigo from Assamalla.
In 2000 joined band live-session guitarist Andres from Ecthalion. At same year split CD with
Assamalla "Igaveseks mälestama mõistetud" was released under Guano Records. This is first Estonian black metal album released in professional way on CD.
Few days after CD release Alan dies in car accident (R.I.P.).
KALM's music can be described as fast and slightly melodic black metal, with some heavy and death metal riffs.
Alan had also doom metal project Vaikus and he was member of Loits, Whispering Forest and D.N.R..
